Job summary

Black & Veatch’s Civil Works Team is seeking a Dams Engineering Manager with strong technical skills in dam and hydraulic structures to lead projects for the Northwest, West Coast, and Southwest regions. You will manage and mentor junior staff and develop an execution team capable of delivering a variety of multi-disciplinary dam, hydropower, flood control, and hydraulic structures projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects involving dams, spillways, intakes and other hydropower/hydraulic structures.
• Mentor junior engineers and review lower-level engineering work.
• Prepare calculations and design documents.
• Coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Support business development for pursuit activities and lead projects you pursue.
