Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to protect customer information systems and guide security during the DevSecOps lifecycle. You will collaborate with ISSEs, ISSMs, developers, and government stakeholders to implement security controls, monitor threats, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Responsibilities include managing security tools, incident response, vulnerability management, and audits, with an emphasis on secure system design and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience, or MS with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph is required.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk and endpoint/network security tools.
• Experience reviewing logs, incident response, vulnerability management, risk management, and POA&Ms.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or GCIH.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security controls and tools to protect enterprise systems and networks.
• Design, configure, and maintain security technologies; monitor with SIEM to detect threats.
• Investigate and remediate cybersecurity incidents and participate in change management.
• Audit systems for compliance with cybersecurity policies and secure baselines.
• Collaborate to integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines and system architectures.
• Monitor advisories and threat intelligence; enforce secure configurations and compliance.
• Support vulnerability management by reviewing scans and coordinating remediation.
