Leidos in Bethesda, MD is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer SME to protect customer information systems and to design, implement, and maintain security controls across mission systems. You will work with ISSEs, ISSMs, developers, and government stakeholders through the DevSecOps lifecycle.

The role emphasizes incident response, vulnerability management, compliance with RMF/ATO, and continuous monitoring of threats. A TS/SCI with polygraph and an MS degree (or equivalent) are required.

Qualifications

• MS degree or 15+ years of relevant experience (equivalent substitution)
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk) and endpoint/network security techs
• Experience reviewing logs, incident response, vulnerability management, RMF/ATO support
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and security automation

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security controls and tools
• Design, configure, and maintain security technologies (firewalls, EDR, SIEM)
• Support incident response and remediation efforts
• Audit systems for compliance with policies and baselines
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, engineering, and ops teams
• Monitor threat advisories and enforce secure configurations
• Review vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation
