Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to protect enterprise information systems and lead security design and engineering across the DevSecOps lifecycle. You will work with ISSEs, ISSMs, software developers, and government stakeholders to ensure compliance and robust security controls.

The role emphasizes security technologies implementation, incident response, and continuous monitoring to safeguard mission systems and stay ahead of threats.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or MS with 10+ years.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk or similar).
• Experience with endpoint and network security tech (IDS/IPS, HBSS/Trellix, Carbon Black EDR).
• Experience with RMF/ATO processes and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security controls and tools.
• Design, configure and maintain security technologies and monitor with SIEM platforms like Splunk.
• Support incident investigation, remediation and change management to maintain compliance.
• Audit systems for cybersecurity policy compliance and secure baselines.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security into pipelines.
• Monitor advisories and threat intelligence to enforce secure configurations.
