Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across enterprise IT. You will lead security strategy, governance, and controls for both on‑prem and cloud environments, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with executives, and drive initiatives across incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations to protect business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with leadership roles.
• Experience designing security architectures in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Experience with risk management and incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, identity, and data protection, with regulatory compliance.
• Architect and implement security controls for on‑prem and cloud infrastructure with defense‑in‑depth.
• Conduct risk assessments of technologies, systems, and software to ensure security standards.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework with policies and standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define cybersecurity strategy and incident response.
• Oversee integration of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability mgmt.).
