Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across our enterprise. You will lead strategic initiatives, guide technical security solutions, and ensure risk-based controls across systems and data.

The role requires extensive experience in security architecture, cloud security and governance, with the ability to collaborate with legal, compliance and IT teams to protect critical logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience; 5+ in leadership or as an architect.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with SDLC, DevSecOps and cloud security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, IAM and data protection.
• Oversee security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure with defense-in-depth.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Develop and maintain a governance framework for cybersecurity across the organization.
• Lead incident response and vulnerability management efforts.
