Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across enterprise systems. You will lead security strategy, guidance, and governance to protect information assets and ensure business continuity.

In this role, you will drive secure cloud and on‑premise solutions, oversee vulnerability management, and coordinate incident response while collaborating with legal, compliance, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field; master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, IAM, and data protection.
• Architect security controls for on‑prem & cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure standards and policies.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework.
• Collaborate with leadership to define strategy, risk appetite, and incident response.
• Integrate security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability mgmt) into IT architecture.
• Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, CCPA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA for logistics.
• Monitor emerging threats and coordinate proactive risk mitigation.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and pen-testing with internal and third‑party teams.
• Establish robust vulnerability management and incident response processes.
• Provide security leadership and training across departments.
• Mentor security engineers and analysts; manage third‑party risk.
