Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer – Level 5 to lead cyber technical product development on an IRAD program. You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure a secure environment and robust product delivery, acting as a technical lead on complex cyber tasks.

The role requires a strong background in cybersecurity controls, BOE artifacts, and agile DevOps practices, with travel up to 10% and a current Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of related experience or Master’s STEM with 10 years, or 8 years with a PhD.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity controls in software development.
• Ability to decompose cybersecurity requirements into actionable tasks.
• Experience generating cybersecurity Body of Evidence (BOE) artifacts.
• Experience with SP 800-218, SP 800-53, ZTA, POA&M development, SCTM.

Responsibilities

• Author the program Cyber Body of Evidence (BOE) as a primary deliverable.
• Provide status updates and flag blockers to leadership.
• Translate mission needs into clear artifacts for teams.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and mission teams to align models with direction.
