Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Tactical Missions BU. You will design and assess baked-in cybersecurity protections, guide security implementations, and maintain RMF documentation for programs across Linthicum, MD, Fairfax, VA, or Morrisville, NC locations.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, DoD/IC cybersecurity experience, and strong written/oral communication to engage internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in relevant Cyber Systems Engineering or RMF/DoD programs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Experience developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections for system architectures.
• Provide engineering guidance on cybersecurity to technical teams.
• Review stakeholder security objectives and verification methods.
• Inform systems engineering with security considerations to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Assess costs/benefits of security functions to guide trade-offs.
• Prepare and maintain cybersecurity program documentation (SSP, POAM, RMF artifacts).
• Apply CSSE practices to Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) where needed.
