Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an experienced Cyber Systems Engineer to support RMF and cybersecurity across the program. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement secure architectures.

Responsibilities include guiding system security, risk management, and documentation using RMF artifacts. Travel may be required; relocation assistance may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires an active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
• Experience with RMF (NIST 800-37) documentation and assessment.
• Experience with security engineering for cross-domain solutions and DoD/IC requirements.
• Certification: Security+ or CISSP preferred; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections in system designs.
• Provide cybersecurity system engineering guidance to technical teams/implementers.
• Review stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and verification methods.
• Inform systems engineering with security considerations to reduce errors and weaknesses.
• Quantify costs/benefits of security functions to inform trade-offs and risk decisions.
• Author and maintain RMF artifacts and related cybersecurity documentation.
• Apply CSSE responsibilities to Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and other areas as needed.
