Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration BU seeks a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer – Level 5 to lead cyber engineering within an IRAD team in multiple sites including Boulder, CO. You will drive secure system design and customer deliverables with cross-functional partners.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive related experience, active DoD-style clearance, and readiness to travel up to 10%. On-site work in Colorado locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 12+ years of related experience OR Master’s STEM degree with 10+ years (or 8+ years with a PhD)
• Familiarity with implementing cybersecurity controls in software development
• Effective communicator and ability to decompose cybersecurity requirements into actionable tasks
• Experience with generating cybersecurity body of evidence and artifacts
• Experience with SP 800-218, SP 800-190, SP 800-53, ZTA, POA&M development, SCTM development
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (Jira/Bitbucket/Confluence)
• Willingness to travel 10% to support business needs
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher security clearance at application time

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Cyber Body of Evidence (BOE) as a customer deliverable
• Provide status updates and escalate blockers to leadership
• Translate mission needs into clear artifacts
• Collaborate with systems, software, and mission teams to align models
• Communicate technical insights, risks, and recommendations clearly
• Perform technical planning, verification, validation, and risk assessments
