Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Knowledge of customs operations, laws, and government agency requirements.
• HTS classification understanding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Accurate, efficient data entry skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must be located within 50 miles of Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries accurately and timely.
• Monitor the customs clearance process for all entries.
• Review and audit commercial documentation for compliance.
• Classify merchandise using HTS for duties and compliance.
• Coordinate freight movement and delivery to locations.
• Communicate discrepancies to customers, supervisors, and carriers.
• Interface with carriers, overseas offices, importers, and agencies.
• Resolve finance, billing, and accounting issues related to customs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and scan records in imaging systems.
• Prepare reports and analyses using various software.
• Research and resolve entry processing issues.
• Communicate with customers and foreign origins in writing and verbally.
• Build positive customer relationships and provide high service levels.
• Conduct internal audits and provide findings/recommendations.
• Support weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
• Perform general customs brokerage, admin, and data entry duties.
