UPS is seeking a Customs Brokerage Representative III to perform advanced brokerage functions for timely clearance of imports. You will review documents, classify items under HTS, support PGA requirements, and ensure compliance with U.S. regulations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Role involves coordinating with carriers and government agencies, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Knowledge of customs operations, laws and government agency requirements.
• HTS classification system understanding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must be located within 50 miles of Louisville, KY.
• Preferred 1+ years in a Customs Broker or brokerage environment.
• U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB).
• Experience with customs brokerage software and import docs.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and submit customs entries accurately and timely.
• Monitor the clearance process for all assigned entries.
• Review and validate commercial documents for compliance.
• Classify merchandise using HTS for duty and compliance.
• Coordinate freight movement and delivery.
• Communicate discrepancies to customers and stakeholders.
• Interface with carriers, overseas offices, importers and government agencies.
• Resolve finance, billing and reconciliation issues.
• Maintain documentation and scan records in imaging systems.
• Prepare reports and analyses using software and databases.
• Research and resolve entry processing issues.
• Maintain professional customer communication in writing and verbally.
• Support internal audits and provide management findings.
• Participate in weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
• Perform general customs brokerage and data entry functions.
