Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Knowledge of customs operations, laws, and government agency requirements.
• HTS classification understanding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must be located within 50 miles of Dallas, TX.
• Preferred 1+ years of experience in customs brokerage.
• U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB).
• Experience with customs brokerage software and import documentation.
• Experience reviewing import documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries accurately and timely.
• Monitor and follow up on the customs clearance process for all assigned entries.
• Review, audit, and validate commercial documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Classify merchandise using HTS to support accurate duty assessment.
• Coordinate freight movement and delivery to designated locations.
• Communicate discrepancies and clearance issues to customers and stakeholders.
• Interface with carriers, overseas offices, importers, and government agencies.
• Resolve billing and accounting reconciliation issues related to customs transactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and scan records into imaging systems.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses using various software applications.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve entry processing and documentation issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers and foreign origins in writing.
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships with high service levels.
• Conduct internal audits and provide findings and recommendations.
• Support weekend and holiday coverage as required.
• Perform general customs brokerage, administrative, and data entry functions.
