Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Senior Customer Service Representative to respond to customer inquiries, quote products, and place orders. You will help maintain inventory, negotiate pricing, and build lasting relationships to drive repeat business.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and product knowledge, with the ability to guide junior staff and ensure accurate order processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Strong product knowledge and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to complex customer inquiries, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Influences gross profit by negotiating price within parameters.
• Adjusts non-contract pricing to meet customer needs while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels and expedites backorders.
• Sourcing products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• May handle customer returns and service one or more customers.
• Provides coaching to less experienced Customer Service Representatives.
