Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced facilities leader to oversee mission-critical building systems in a 24/7 environment and drive operational excellence across power, HVAC and life-safety. You will mentor the engineering team, coordinate capital works, and ensure top-tier service for tenants and owners.

Required: 8–10 years in building/facilities management with strong BMS/CMMS skills, plus hands-on leadership and financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of building engineering management or facilities management experience.
• 5+ years in critical systems operations for large commercial office properties (500,000+ SF).

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance and reliability of mission-critical building systems (generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers, boilers, BMS, life safety).
• Monitor performance via BMS/CMMS and analytics to optimize efficiency and preempt issues.
• Lead Building Engineering team development and succession planning.
• Manage budgets, capital planning, and service delivery with stakeholders.
• Ensure 24/7/365 availability and compliance with codes and safety standards.
