Job summary

LaSalle Network seeks an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to support commercial credit underwriting and risk assessment. You will evaluate complex credit requests, analyze borrower financial performance, and provide recommendations that back sound lending decisions.

The role requires hands-on underwriting experience, strong financial statement analysis, and the ability to interpret data to gauge financial health and operating performance. Clear communication of credit rationale is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial credit underwriting.
• Ability to spread financial statements and analyze tax returns and audited financials.
• Strong understanding of cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and debt service coverage.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial credit facilities, including multimillion-dollar transactions.
• Spread and analyze borrower financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and repayment capacity to assess credit risk.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of borrower business and industry trends from financial results.
• Identify risks, red flags, and adjustments affecting ratios and risk ratings.
• Prepare credit analyses, underwriting summaries, and recommendations for new or renewed credit requests.
• Utilize credit risk tools to evaluate borrower risk and support underwriting decisions.
• Explain findings and credit recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
