First Interstate Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst III to independently evaluate and underwrite complex commercial credits, including CRE, C&I, and hospitality, partnering with Commercial Relationship Managers to support loan relationships and ensure credit quality.

You will gather, analyze, and interpret financial data, assess risk, and prepare comprehensive reports. The role includes mentoring junior analysts and supporting regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field preferred.
• 7–9 years of banking experience and/or equivalent.
• Experience with financial spread software required.
• Commercial banking experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Read and review financial statements (tax returns, balance sheets, P&L, etc.) to assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare financial spreads for CRE, C&I, municipalities, non-profits, and borrowers.
• Independently analyze credit risk and determine risk ratings and structures.
• Prepare a comprehensive analysis report with data and narrative.
• Mentor junior analysts and participate in training/quality control.
• Assist Relationship Managers with quarterly monitoring reports and covenant testing.
