Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to underwrite and present CRE loan analyses for complex projects in Irvine, CA. You will support Relationship Managers, monitor a large CRE portfolio, and help deepen client relationships with developers and investors.

The role requires strong analytical and credit skills, familiarity with financial statement spreading, and adherence to bank policies. Onsite work at the Irvine location is required and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of credit policies and procedures.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Proficient with financial statement spreading and cash-flow analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and prepares CRE loan credit presentations.
• Monitors large CRE loan portfolio and collaborates with RMs.
• Identifies and mitigates credit risks in new and existing loans.
• Prepares timely, accurate credit recommendations with risk scoring.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
