Job summary

American Savings Bank Hawaii is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to oversee end-to-end production of a large commercial real estate loan portfolio, from origination to payoff, including term, interim, value-add and construction loans.

You will build and manage client relationships, structure loans, coordinate due diligence, documentation and closings, monitor performance and ensure compliance with covenants and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in all aspects of commercial real estate lending.
• Portfolio management experience with large loan sizes.
• Strong relationship management skills and client sourcing.
• Ability to prospect and convert non-bank clients.
• Mentor others and share knowledge.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid US driver’s license and transportation access.

Responsibilities

• Manages relationship building that results in client relationships, deal sourcing, and loan closings.
• Builds pipeline through existing portfolio, referrals, and prospecting.
• Negotiates and structures loan terms and conditions independently, including costs and collateral.
• Executes and manages closing and booking of credit products.
• Monitors credit files and ensures accuracy per bank standards.
• Ensures loan system reflects approved terms.
• Delivers monitoring information to internal stakeholders to reflect current conditions.
• Maintains open communication with Department Manager and Credit Administration.
• Monitors borrower performance and covenant compliance.
• Cross-sell bank products as appropriate.
