Job summary

American Savings Bank Hawaii is seeking a senior CRE lending professional to manage risk, review and structure commercial real estate loans, and guide credit decisions to support profitable growth. The role partners with RMs and Credit teams to ensure sound underwriting and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial real estate lending and risk management.
• Ability to handle large, complex credit requests independently.
• Proven leadership of others in a team environment.
• Strong cash flow modeling and risk/return assessment skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drives active risk management of the CRELD portfolio.
• Identifies credit weaknesses and raises concerns promptly.
• Advises RM, Dept Manager, and Credit team on risks and mitigants.
• Performs independent financial analyses and reports on property loans.
• Advises clients on loan structuring options to facilitate transactions.
• Negotiates loan terms and coordinates documentation and closing.
• Monitors construction loans and funds monthly draws per policy.
• Communicates risk ratings and supports end-to-end loan process.
