Job summary

American Savings Bank in Honolulu, HI seeks an experienced CRE lending professional to drive risk-adjusted loan growth within the Commercial Real Estate Loan Division. You will review, structure, and approve complex CRE loans, providing guidance to mitigate credit risk for the bank.

The role requires deep expertise in cash flow modeling, loan structuring, and regulatory compliance, with leadership responsibilities across the credit team and RM partners to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Background in all aspects of commercial real estate lending.
• Established credit management skills.
• Ability to manage asset management on a portfolio size $100 - $300 million.
• Demonstrated ability to lead others.
• Experience reviewing loan documents and structuring covenants.

Responsibilities

• Drive risk management of the CRELD portfolio and monitor credit quality.
• Advise RM and Credit teams on risks and mitigants.
• Independently analyze property/loan cash flows and credit worthiness.
• Structure loan options to mitigate risk and facilitate transactions.
• Negotiate loan documentation and coordinate closings.
• Monitor construction loans and fund monthly draws.
• Provide monitoring information to stakeholders and ensure accurate risk ratings.
• Communicate with clients on behalf of RM and support end-to-end loan processes.
• Serve as a resource on CRE lending trends.
