Job summary

American Savings Bank Hawaii seeks a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to build and maintain a broad banking relationship with emphasis on business credit products. You will plan and execute business development strategies to meet department and individual goals and review credit analyses to assess risks.

The role requires monitoring borrower portfolios, negotiating loan terms, and coordinating with Credit Administration.

Qualifications

• Three to six years of commercial banking experience including relationship management and credit analysis.
• Knowledge of legal documents such as promissory notes, mortgages, financing statements, security agreements, personal guarantees.
• Understanding of accounting principles to analyze financial conditions of corporate enterprises.
• Ability to cross-sell Cash Management and other bank products.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid US Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solicit potential customers and prepare credit requests reflecting risks.
• Manage and retain commercial customer relationships.
• Negotiate and structure loan terms and collateral requirements.
• Close and book credit products.
• Monitor borrowers' performance and financial covenants.
• Maintain deposit accounts and customer servicing.
• Support cash management, merchant services, and investment products.
• Prepare reports on borrowers' financial stability.
