Job summary

Provident Bank in New Jersey is seeking a CRE loan professional to originate, evaluate and structure complex loan requests, while supporting senior lenders and cross-selling bank products. The role emphasizes portfolio management and market visibility.

You will work in a team environment, analyzing financial statements, assessing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with bank policies. Travel to client locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years related experience in financial industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Comprehensive loan analysis experience.
• Comprehensive financial analysis experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of underwriting techniques.
• Proven new business track record.
• Strong oral, written and communication and management skills.
• Proficient with software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and Argus).

Responsibilities

• Solicits credit-worthy potential and existing customers to develop new business and retain existing business within policy of the Bank.
• Oversees loan presentations with detailed financial analysis of borrower’s capacity and creditworthiness.
• Assesses lending risks and makes recommendations on loan structures with sound credit judgment.
• Establishes and promotes customer and community relationships; cross-sells other Bank products and services; stays aware of market conditions.
• Manages assigned loan portfolio with emphasis on covenants, policy compliance, credit quality and delinquency control.
• Coordinates loan closings with strict compliance to approved terms and conditions.
