Job summary
Provident Bank, a respected New Jersey financial institution, seeks an experienced CRE Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of loans and support multiple Lenders across the CRE book. The role emphasizes thorough financial reviews, risk assessment, and ongoing covenant monitoring.
You will prepare annual reviews, arrange short-term extensions, and analyze construction and permanent loans, strengthening credit quality while delivering excellent service to borrowers and colleagues in a dynamic
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degrees in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.
- 5–7 years of commercial real estate experience in banking.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Experience with CRE loan analysis.
- Ability to manage a CRE portfolio.
- Ability to support multiple lenders.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Word, Excel and Argus; discount cash flow models.
Responsibilities
- Monitor maturities and past dues.
- Monitor covenant compliance of the CRE portfolio.
- Review financials, loan approvals and documents.
- Prepare annual reviews to assess credit quality.
- Prepare short-term extensions of matured loans.
- Prepare construction reviews and assess project economics.
- Perform borrower and guarantor analysis and risk assessment.
- Provide loan modification and covenant waiver memos.
