Job summary

Provident Bank in Paramus, NJ, is seeking an experienced CRE Portfolio Manager to support lenders by monitoring and managing portfolios, performing financial reviews, and conducting risk analysis on both construction and permanent CRE loans.

The role involves preparing annual credit reviews, negotiating short-term extensions, and coordinating with appraisers and environmental reports, with a focus on risk management and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.
• 5–7 years’ work experience in all facets of commercial real estate within financial industry, with a strong concentration in Banking.
• Strong comprehensive financial analysis skills.
• Ability to manage a commercial real estate portfolio.
• Ability to assist multiple Lenders with management of their portfolio.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Argus; experience with discounted cash flow models.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maturities and past dues.
• Monitor covenant compliance of the CRE portfolio.
• Ensure proper documentation of financials, loan approvals and loan documents.
• Prepare Annual Reviews assessing credit quality and covenant compliance.
• Prepare short-term extensions of matured loans.
• Prepare semi-annual construction reviews.
• Conduct property inspections and covenant compliance checks.
• Prepare detailed Group Exposure Chart.
