Job summary

VetJobs is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to repair and modernize cranes, lead field technicians, and serve as a liaison between management and customers. The role requires crane repair expertise, on-site work at client locations, and a willingness to travel and work extended hours to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes, training field staff, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years crane repair experience; or 3-4 years electrical/mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check; submit to random/annual testing as required.
• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights; basic computer skills for crane inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• On-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA-required hoist and crane inspections and generate reports and repair orders.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Advise customers on repairs and safety to improve services.
• Maintain all company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe condition.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
• Maintain supplies in company vehicle and work well in a team.
