Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group in New Orleans is seeking a Senior Technician to service and repair cranes, lead field technicians, and serve as the liaison between management and customers. The role requires self-sufficiency, leadership, and safety-first discipline in a 24/7 service environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing upgrades, inspections, and mentoring. On-call and overtime may be required to meet customer needs, with travel 20-50% and varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years crane repair experience or 3-4 years electrical/mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background checks and submit to random and annual testing as required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Commit to working and driving safely at all times.
• Willingness to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer sites.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA-required hoist and crane inspections and generate reports.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Discuss repair and safety recommendations with customers to improve services.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe order.
