Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group seeks a Senior Technician to modernize and repair cranes, leading field technicians and serving as the liaison between management and customers. This role emphasizes safety, self-sufficiency, and professional communication in a 24/7 service environment.

The candidate will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades at client sites, train junior staff, and complete OSHA inspections and reports.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years crane repair and maintenance experience.
• Or 3–4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights.
• Able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hour services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule and complete daily work.
• Consult with customers regarding repairs and safety issues and discuss recommendations.
• Maintain all company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe, proper condition.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
• Attend trainings and seminars as required and participate in the 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned.
