Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Senior Technician to specialize in modernization and repair of cranes. The role requires leading field technicians, being the liaison between management and customers, and performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades in a safety-first environment.

The position demands on-call availability, weekend work as needed, and travel as required to customer sites. Strong communication and leadership are essential in coordinating inspections and safety

Qualifications

• 5-7 years crane repair & maintenance experience
• 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance
• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
• Must have basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs
• Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
• Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background checks

Responsibilities

• On-call and provide after-hour services as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate reports and repair orders
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule daily work
• Consult with customers on repair and safety recommendations
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in good order
• Be willing to travel 20-50% and work varied shifts as required
