Job summary

Amity Foundation, a Teaching and Therapeutic Community, seeks a Supervising Counselor to lead a team of AOD staff in California. You will supervise, coach, and monitor staff, ensuring compliance with program requirements and certifications while coordinating with CDCR-related partners.

The role emphasizes training, hours tracking, and ensuring quality counseling services within the program. AOD certification and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years as a certified AOD Counselor at a responsibility not less than Counselor III.
• Certified as an AOD Counselor with a DHCS-approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress towards AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Verify internship hours and ARMS documentation for compliance.
