Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks a Supervising Counselor to lead face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the ISUDTP within an incarcerated setting. You will supervise roughly six AOD staff, coach performance, verify internship hours, and ensure adherence to ARMS and contract requirements.

Required: AOD Counselor certification and two years of experience. This position offers opportunities to develop leadership in a mission-driven environment serving community reentry and substance-use treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Two (2) years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six (6) AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress toward AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes of new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/action plan development.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors assigned to the program.
• Provide support to ensure OMCP Mentors complete internship hours and verification.
• Verify and record internship hours monthly.
• Work with CDCR/CDCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and contracted staff.
