Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Supervising Counselor to support program leadership, supervise AOD Counselors and OMCP Mentors, and help manage internship hours and certification processes. The role focuses on staff coaching, program quality, and collaboration with CDCR partner sites.

The position is temp, pays $38.00 per hour, and emphasizes mentoring, evaluation, and ensuring compliance with ARMS documentation and related contracts.

Qualifications

• Understanding of substance abuse causes, symptoms and effects.
• Strong organization, leadership and time management.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ARMS and MS Office is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Monitor staff progress toward AOD certification and supervise intake processes.
• Provide training to AOD Counseling staff and OMCP Mentors.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors and ensure internship hours are documented.
