Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Supervising Counselor to oversee face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. The role involves supervising approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff, coaching, and ensuring staff maintain AOD certifications.

The ideal candidate will have a current AOD Counselor certification and at least two years of experience, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Required: Certified as an AOD Counselor with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Two (2) years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six (6) AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance, including corrective measures as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress toward maintaining a valid AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/action plan development.
• Track participants, counselor assignments, and progress.
• Provide training and monitoring of ARMS documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors.
• Verify OMCP Mentor internship hours monthly.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters and contracted staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
