Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks a Supervising Counselor to oversee rehabilitative programming in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). You will supervise roughly six staff, coach on performance, and ensure compliance with AOD certification standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, administrative oversight, and collaboration with CDCR/CCHCS partners to deliver effective counseling services in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with a DHCS-approved organization.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures.
• Assess progress toward maintaining a valid AOD certification.
• Oversee orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/action plans.
• Maintain participant tracking (names, staff assignments, progress).
• Provide training to AOD staff and OMCP Mentors.
• Coordinate OMCP Mentors and ensure internship hours documentation.
