Job summary

Amity Foundation in Delano, California, seeks a Supervising Counselor to lead face-to-face rehabilitative programming within the ISUDTP, supervising six staff and ensuring quality service delivery in challenging settings.

The role requires AOD Counselor certification with a DHCS-approved organization and at least two years of certified experience; you will coach staff, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with program standards and records.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with DHCS-approved organization.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.
• Current AOD Certification with organization recognized by the DHCS or licensed professional as required by contract.
• Strong organizational, leadership and time-management skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate program activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six staff of AOD counselors/peer navigators.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Monitor contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor progress toward AOD certification for staff.
• Oversee orientation and intake for new participants.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors assigned to the program.
• Ensure ARMS documentation compliance and internal controls.
• Verify internship hours and recordkeeping for mentors.
