Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Supervising Counselor to oversee face-to-face rehabilitative programming within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). This role involves supervising approximately six AOD staff, evaluating performance, and ensuring compliance with ARMS documentation in an incarcerated setting.

Required: AOD Counselor Certification with a DHCS-approved organization and two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor with a DHCS-approved organization; Two (2) years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six (6) AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance with corrective measures as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress toward AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes of new participants.
• Approve and monitor SUD relapse prevention/CBI action plan development.
• Track participants, counselor assignments, readiness to change, progress on plans, program stage.
• Provide training and monitoring of ARMS documentation to ensure compliance.
