Job summary

Leadenhall Search & Selection is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to support energy projects across the United States in a remote capacity. The role focuses on project development, EPC/construction and complex commercial contracting, working closely with development, construction and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• 8–13+ years of legal experience in energy, power generation or infrastructure.
• Experience negotiating EPC, construction or major project agreements.
• Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
• Law firm and/or sophisticated in-house energy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support across lifecycle of major energy development and construction projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex project and commercial agreements.
• Advise on EPC, construction, procurement, equipment supply and development agreements.
• Support large-scale power generation, storage and energy infrastructure projects.
• Identify and assess legal and commercial risks; advise senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with development, construction, operations, procurement and commercial teams.
• Manage complex matters independently and coordinate external counsel where required.
