Job summary

Recurrent Energy, a leading utility-scale solar and energy storage developer, seeks a Senior Counsel to join the North America Legal Team in Austin, TX or Remote U.S. The role focuses on Real Estate, Land Acquisition, Environmental/Permitting and Development, advising across Project Finance, Construction, Operations and Tax.

Qualifications

• U.S.-credentialed law degree from a top-tier ABA accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate agreements.
• Experience with site control, permitting, interconnection, offtake, and financing.
• Experience on utility-scale solar and/or battery storage projects preferred.
• Strong communication with title companies, lenders, investors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic real estate support for site control, project finance and M&A.
• Review title commitments, proformas, policies and surveys; manage title cure.
• Provide general real estate legal support for project development, permitting and interconnection.
• Coordinate with outside real estate, tax and permitting counsel and consultants.
• Assist with corporate governance matters and internal real estate processes.
