Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced attorney for a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Consumer & Small Business Legal role. You will advise the MAPS organization on product strategy and marketing implications, partnering with senior business leaders to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and risks.

The role entails collaborating with Compliance, Risk, and other counsel to support savings and marketing initiatives, and coordinating outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of a state bar.
• 4+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day business counsel to the Savings and Marketing teams within the retail bank.
• Partner with Compliance and Risk advisors to drive comprehensive support.
• Collaborate with internal counsel and legal SME to drive consistency across Capital One’s lines of business.
• Collaborate with in-house Retail Bank Litigation team to manage product‑related litigation matters.
• Manage and coordinate outside counsel effectively.
• Review and enhance policies and customer-facing communications.
