Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Consumer & Small Business Legal team as business counsel for the Savings and Marketing (MAPS) organization. You will provide strategic legal advice on product and marketing initiatives for retail banking customers and work with senior leaders to refine and bring to life new and existing banking products.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
5+ years of experience with regulatory exposure advising bank depository and lending teams.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day business counsel to the Savings and Marketing teams within the retail bank.
Partner with Compliance and Risk advisors to drive comprehensive support.
Coordinate with internal counsel and subject matter experts to ensure consistency across Capital One lines of business.
Collaborate with in-house Litigation team to manage product-related litigation matters.
Manage and coordinate outside counsel efficiently.
Review and enhance policies, procedures, and customer communications.
Monitor key third-party relationships.
