Capital One’s Legal Department seeks a high‑performing attorney to serve as a strategic advisor on consumer protection and digital strategy. You will partner with Brand Marketing and Product teams to craft legally sound, innovative digital experiences and manage risk across enterprise initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership in emerging regulatory developments, cross‑functional collaboration, and delivering practical guidance on a fast‑paced, technologically driven environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• At least 4 years of attorney experience in a law firm, in-house legal dept., or gov’t agency.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic legal advice on consumer protection risks throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Analyze and mitigate UDAAP risks identified via monitoring and testing.
• Advise on digital initiatives including disclosures, e-signatures, and terms of use for websites/apps.
• Lead development and updating of Legal UDAAP and Consent frameworks.
• Identify regulatory trends and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
