Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel in Consumer & Small Business Legal to advise the MAPS organization on product strategy and marketing initiatives. You will serve as a strategic partner to Savings and Marketing, shaping policy, communications, and risk management in a collaborative environment.

You will work with Compliance, Risk, and in-house teams to align legal strategy with business goals, manage outside counsel, and influence senior leadership on complex issues.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day business counsel to the Savings and Marketing teams within the retail bank.
• Partner with Compliance and Risk advisors to drive comprehensive and consistent support.
• Collaborate with internal counsel and subject matter experts to drive best practices across Capital One’s lines of business.
• Coordinate with in-house Litigation team to manage product-related litigation matters.
• Manage and coordinate outside counsel effectively and efficiently.
• Review and enhance associate-facing policies and procedures and customer-facing communications.

Education

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing of a state bar
