Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Senior Counsel in its Commercial & Innovation Law group, based in Houston, TX. You will counsel on transactional matters across Hydrocarbons, Feedstocks, and Energy & Climate, supporting global business teams.

Key responsibilities include drafting, risk mitigation, client training, and collaborating with a cross-functional legal team. Domestic relocation is available based on eligibility and needs.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws.
• A minimum of 4 years practicing as in-house counsel or corporate/commercial/transactional attorney.
• Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on a wide range of topics with emphasis on transactional issues in hydrocarbons, feedstocks and energy & climate.
• Review and draft legal documents and identify potential legal risk for clients.
• Host client legal training and education on various topics per risk mitigation practices.
• Collaborate within a team of legal professionals and business colleagues to allocate work appropriately.
• Manage outside counsel and external resources in line with department policies.
