Dow Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the Commercial & Innovation Law group in Houston, TX. You will provide broad transactional legal counsel across Hydrocarbons, Feedstocks and Energy & Climate businesses for Dow’s global operations.

The role emphasizes drafting, risk management, and training while collaborating with cross-functional teams and outside counsel. Domestic relocation assistance is available in some cases.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or LL.M.
• Minimum 4 years practicing as in-house counsel or as a corporate/commercial/transactional attorney.
• Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Be a simplifier and solver of strategic-level legal challenges for clients in a global science and technology company.
• Review and draft legal documents; identify legal risk and provide solutions to enable the end customer.
• Host client legal training and education on various topics per Legal department curriculum.
• Collaborate with legal professionals, business clients, and non-legal staff; share knowledge in a team environment.
• Proactively communicate with Legal management and clients; align work with resource availability and risk appetite.
• Manage outside counsel and external resources per department policies to balance cost and risk.
