Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Senior Counsel for its Commercial & Innovation Law group in Houston, TX. You will provide legal counsel on a wide range of transactional matters across hydrocarbons, feedstocks, energy, and climate initiatives.

You will review and draft contracts, manage outside counsel, mentor staff, and collaborate with business teams to mitigate risk while enabling growth in a global science-driven company. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws.
• 4+ years in-house or corporate/transactional practice.
• Admission to State Bar or eligibility.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Simplify and solve strategic-level legal challenges for global clients.
• Review and draft legal documents; identify legal risks in meetings.
• Host client training on topics per legal curriculum and risk practices.
• Demonstrate teamwork, legal tech savviness, and bias toward action.
• Collaborate with business, legal peers, and non-legal colleagues.
• Communicate proactively with Legal management and clients.
• Delegate appropriately to paralegals and staff to balance workload.
