Job summary

Relativity in the United States seeks a Senior Counsel, AI & Legal Technology to serve as a senior legal advisor on AI, product development, and regulatory matters. This role reports to the General Counsel and collaborates across engineering, product, marketing, and partnerships.

You will monitor AI law developments, draft internal policies, advise on vendor and customer agreements, and help shape go-to-market strategies. JD and U.S.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of in-house or law firm experience supporting technology initiatives, including IP, M&A, privacy, and data
• Experience with software development and OSS licensing, including API terms and SaaS agreements
• JD from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar admission
• Strong ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to identify risk and propose paths forward
• Deep knowledge of the AI regulatory landscape (EU/US) and related frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead as the senior legal voice for enterprise AI, product development, marketing and legal tech.
• Provide strategic legal advice and timely responses to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Partner, Strategy and Customer Success teams.
• Develop processes and contract language improvements to align with business needs.
• Advise on AI terms in customer and vendor agreements and customer-facing materials.
