Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Senior Cost Control Manager to oversee budgets for large scale data center projects in the United States. You will lead onsite teams, ensure cost discipline, and align with project and organizational objectives while coordinating with vendors, finance, and project teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of construction contracts, change management, and robust forecasting capabilities, with a focus on cost optimization and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in cost control, construction, or project management with leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of construction contracts, change management, and budget control.
• Advanced proficiency in financial/project software (Workday, e-Builder, Procore, ACC).
• Ability to forecast, analyze costs and present to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite cost team and ensure adherence to cost control processes.
• Develop and validate budgets for large-scale projects.
• Review contracts and change orders; manage approval workflows.
• Analyze forecasts, cash flows, and variances; report to leadership.
• Oversee procurement and vendor contracts relative to budget.
• Communicate with stakeholders and drive cost-saving strategies.
