Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Cost Control Manager to lead construction budget oversight, contract compliance, and change management across projects. You will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and finance to optimize spend and ensure alignment with budgets and schedules.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting, plus 7+ years in construction or project management. Proficiency with Workday, Procore, and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with project management teams, vendors, and finance professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of construction contract documents and change management practices.
• Proficiency with financial and project management software such as Workday, e-Builder, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Examine construction contract documents and ensure compliance with contract terms and laws.
• Evaluate requests to award to subcontractors and monitor buyout savings.
• Reconcile monthly pay applications, budgets, and required documentation; inform project teams.
• Initiate purchase orders for vendors and ensure invoices align with terms.
• Provide detailed monthly cash flow projections to capital and investment teams.
• Review potential change order events and substantiate positions with cost data.
• Maintain a log of change orders and manage internal approvals per authorization.
