Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer to manage construction budgets for data center projects from inception through completion. You will validate potential change orders, align contractor methods with contract documents, and collaborate with project management, vendors, cost consultants, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of construction contract documents and change management.
• Experience with financial and project management software such as Workday, e-Builder, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract documents and coordinate compliance with cost and project teams.
• Review contractors' requests to award and monitor buyout savings.
• Verify monthly pay applications and reconcile project budget with cash flow.
• Manage change orders: logging, approvals, and legal review as needed.
• Support monthly loan draw process and document collection.
